Dr. David Rowlands

Dr. David Rowlands is currently the Lead Project manager IT, for Information Technology Services (ITS). He joined the company in 2009 as a CAD instructor where his role encompassed both software training and software development. He became a certified British project professional in 2017 and has applied his skills and experience as an IT professional, to deliver several IT projects including website developments, web application development, bespoke software development, graphic design, animation, cost analysis, cost estimation and IT consultancy projects. He was the lead developer for the website of the 39th Cranfield Engine Systems Symposium held at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, he delivered IT projects for the food for all initiative movement and his versatility in the IT development world has seen him deliver IT projects for music artists in the UK. In 2018, he became a certified Solidworks associate extending his IT skill to computer aided design functions. David is also an aerothermal engineer with background in aerospace, aircraft vehicle design, thermal power and propulsion. He obtained a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University where he is currently working on integrating a techno-economic cost modelling tool with the Universities in-house gas turbine performance modelling and simulation software.
